Applies to the SUPER DESKTOP app for Linux and the SUPER DESKTOP Android app (package com.gladimdim.superdesktop). Last updated 30 September 2026.
In short: SUPER DESKTOP has no accounts, no servers of ours, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The developer does not receive, collect or store any of your data.
Your phone and your computers talk directly to each other, over your own network or Tailscale, and everything you type or see stays between them.
SUPER DESKTOP is made by Dmytro Gladkyi, an independent developer (“we”, “us”). The Linux app is open source at github.com/gladimdim/super-desktop.
| Information | Where it lives | Sent to us? |
|---|---|---|
| Pairing details for each of your computers: its name and address, a pairing token, and the pinned certificate that identifies it | On your phone, in encrypted storage backed by the Android Keystore. Excluded from Android backup. | No |
| Terminal output, the prompts you type, drafts, images and files you attach, file names and folder paths | Sent only to the computer you chose, over a certificate-pinned encrypted (HTTPS/WSS) connection. Unsent drafts and a short-lived cache stay on your phone. | No |
| App settings: theme, card colours, widget and usage-card choices, notification choices | On your phone only | No |
| Free-trial day count and cached Pro status | On your phone. If Android backup is on, this one small file is also kept in your own Google backup, so reinstalling the app does not restart the free trial. It is never sent to us. | No |
Terminal output and prompts can contain whatever your AI coding tools show or you type, including source code. That content travels only between your own devices. What the AI tools running on your computers then send to their own providers is governed by those tools and providers, not by SUPER DESKTOP.
The Android app has a one-time optional purchase, SUPER DESKTOP Pro, handled entirely by Google Play. Google processes your payment and tells the app whether the purchase exists. We never see your payment details, name or Google account, and the app has no SUPER DESKTOP account. Google's handling of that information is described in Google's privacy policy. Google Play Billing also sends its own diagnostic data to Google.
The app does not read your contacts, messages, microphone or location.
Google Play may show us aggregate technical statistics about the app, such as installs and crash rates, through the Play Console. We do not receive them per person.
The Android app has a demo mode with two pretend computers that live inside the phone. It makes no network connections and sends nothing anywhere.
SUPER DESKTOP is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date. A change that affects what the app collects would also be described in the app's release notes.
